Hollins Law Certified as Woman Owned Business by The Supplier Clearing House
We are pleased to announce that HOLLINS LAW is now certified by The Supplier Clearinghouse for the Utility Supplier Diversity Program of the California Public Utilities Commission as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise. In May 1988, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) issued General Order 156 (GO 156). Under GO 156, the CPUC required all investor-owned electric, gas, water and telecommunication utility companies with gross annual revenues in excess of $25 million and their regulated subsidiaries and affiliates, to develop and implement programs to increase the utilization of woman and minority owned businesses. Procurement goals of 5% for women and 15% for minorities were initially established, and later expanded to include a goal of 1.5% for service-disabled veterans.

Hollins Law Fights Back in the Battle Against Heart Disease
Hollins Law attended UC Irvine Alpha Phi’s 6th Annual Red Dress Gala benefitting the American Heart Association. This was an incredible evening full of raffles, silent auctions, and live auctions, all raising funds for Women’s Cardiac Care. This evening was more than about giving back to such a wonderful cause but to also raise awareness of America’s number one killer- heart disease. One in three women will die of heart disease in their lifetime. Not only did Hollins Law actively support this cause for the American Heart Association and attend the incredible night at Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa but they also donated in support! The hosts of the evening, UC Irvine Alpha Phi Eta Kappa Chapter raised a total of over $53,000 in one evening! Hollins Law is proud to be a part and honored to have been present at such a phenomenal occasion!
Hollins Law Helps Local Art School Summer Program
Hollins Law is delighted to have the opportunity to donate various computer parts to a local community summer art program held at the Orange County High School of the Arts. OCHSA is a premier academic and conservatory facility that is “Educating the next generation of world class artists and scholars”. They offer a special summer program to anyone who is interested in learning more about attendance to OCHSA in the fall, or for kids who are passionate about art and just want to dive in and discover their talent.
These computers and parts were donated to the 3-dimensional design class so that they could be shaped, glued, and fashioned into futuristic robots. The kids range in age from 8-12, and did a wonderful job deconstructing the computers and transforming them into imaginative and exciting robots. Hollins Law is very proud to recycle this outdated technology in a creative and eco-conscious way, while also contributing to a fine local institution.
Hollins Law Continues Support of St. Jude
Hollins Law supports many charitable causes and once again this year was a sponsor for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital: “Endless Summer – Havana Nights”. Research findings at the hospital are shared with doctors and scientists all over the world. St. Jude treats children suffering from cancer and other catastrophic illnesses from California, across the United States and all over the world at no cost to their families. With 85.1 cents of every dollar going directly to research and afflicted children, there is no question that this cause is deserving of our support because “no child should die in the dawn of life” as founder Danny Thomas stated.
