Since receiving her law degree in 2004, Ms. Sheila K. McDonald has become an impeccable legal advocate in the areas of insurance bad faith defense and civil litigation. By maintaining a standard of delivering consistent and uncompromising representation, Ms. McDonald has exceeded her clients’ expectations for determined advocacy and knowledgeable counsel.

Ms. McDonald has experience in indemnity and contribution actions involving complex legal issues. She has handled the defense of large, national insurance companies who were named in insurance bad faith suits involving first and third party claim disputes. She has prevailed by way of demurrers and motions to strike claims of plaintiffs against large national insurance companies. Ms. McDonald has also worked in the area of risk management for a large real estate development firm where she managed a $1 billion dollar surety program. In all matters, she brings a dedication of service that is the hallmark of the Hollins•Schechter practice.

Ms. McDonald received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount St. Mary’s College and earned her Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Whittier College School of Law. In law school, she was the Executive Editor of the Whittier Law Review, and received the West Group Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award. Ms. McDonald also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Justice William W. Bedsworth of the California Court of Appeal.
