Karen Aldridge brings an enthusiasm for her work that is impossible to deny. She radiates a seemingly unstoppable flow of drive and dedication that leaves most of her contemporaries far behind. Karen’s ability to apply this determined focus to her client’s needs makes her a highly sought after litigator. As one of the newest members to the Hollins•Schechter team, Karen perfectly embodies the firm’s mission of delivering fearless, uncompromising trial advocacy.

Throughout her career, Karen has exhibited an acumen and passion for not only the law, but also the people whom she represents. Whether she is researching case law, drafting motions or presenting in trial, Karen never loses touch with the heart and soul of the clients she is representing. Her experience through the years both as a student of law and as a practicing attorney has provided Karen a wide array of training. She has worked in everything from family and criminal cases to personal injury, environmental litigation and property matters. In all matters, Karen always holds her client’s best interest at heart and backs it with an unyielding commitment to bring about a successful outcome. It is this promise of excellence that she gives to each and every client she handles.

Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California in Davis, California. She then began her law studies at the UC Davis School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctor degree. During that time she also served in a variety of organizations including the university’s Diversity Outreach program. Karen also distinguished herself by competing for and winning a place on the National Mock Trial team, where she participated in both regional and national competitions. She was an editor for the school’s Juvenile Law and Policy publication and served as Committee Chairperson and Treasurer for the campus’ Children’s Rights Advocacy group. In addition, she also held various positions within the Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority including National Board Treasurer and National Board Vice-President. As a social-good contributor, Karen has worked as a volunteer with several community organizations. This included an internship with the Children’s Defense Funds’ Violence Prevention and Youth Development program, serving as an outreach coordinator for the Court Appointed Special Advocates, and volunteering with various crisis and homeless shelter groups.

Her outstanding scholastic and community achievements have earned her many commendations including the Outstanding Senior Award in 2000 and a Presidential Scholarship award. She also is a recognized National Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society member and a UC Davis King Hall Public Interest program graduate.
